Account Manager

Position: Account Manager

Location: Coppell, TX

Job Description: 

The summary of the position includes day-to-day coordination and execution of cargo storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, warehouse value added services and other supply chain functions related to a specific customer account, or multiple accounts. It incorporates cross dock, transload, and breakbulk. This Position Description identifies the major responsibilities of this job.  It does not include all aspects of the position such as the potential additional duties assigned by leadership and the requirement for flexibility in helping others for the company's overall benefit.


Core Responsibilities & Duties:

•    Creating reports for customer review
•    Develop strong and long-term relationships with customers
•    Establish and manage strategic objectives & timelines with customers
•    Identify additional opportunities with accounts that can increase and drive revenue
•    Sensitivity to issues; Investigate potentially serious situations & implement preventative and/or corrective measures.
•    Coordinate internal and external meetings to discuss/review objectives and timelines.
•    Provide internal updates on forecasting, account statuses, summary reporting for monthly/quarterly initiatives
•    Planning logistics, warehouse, and transportation activities
•    Develop, maintain, and improve KPI requirements (both internal and external)
•     Ensure staffing levels are adequate and profitability is in line with goals
•    Help to process daily shipments via common carrier, integrator and freight forwarder 
•    Work within ERP, WMS, and MRP systems to ensure accurate inventory control
•    Optimizing location to maximize efficiency and profitability
•    Liaising and negotiating with suppliers
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's Degree is preferred
•    MS Word, Excel, and overall computer literate
•    SAP experience not required but preferred
•    This candidate should have strong analytical/problem solving, communication and collaboration/relationship skills. 
•    Familiarity with security measures and protocols
•    This candidate must be able to work effectively in a highly cross-functional organization, as well as work independently
•    Requires the ability to make judgments and work with minimum supervision
•    The candidate should be level-headed and be able to lead a team
•    Ability to interface and communicate effectively with Customers
•    Advanced level – Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point and Excel

•    The ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
•    Must have the ability to work in a fast paced/high volume sales environment
