The Account Manager is responsible for daily servicing of commercial clients. This position assists in the service, production, and retention of new and renewal clients while maintaining high serve standards. Also responsible for developing relationships with carriers and insureds.
\n\nDuties include but are not limited to:
\n\nManages assigned accounts on a day-to-day basis which includes coordinating all services, answering questions, and resolving problems which may arise.\nMaintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, agency, and company personnel.\nResponsible for having an understanding of assigned accounts in order to give proper advice for changing situations, which may require modifications to existing coverage.\nResponsible for making sure that all the terms and conditions of the insurance policies written by the insurance company are properly prepared and provides coverage that was presented to the insured in our proposal.\nPrepares thorough and complete submissions for the marketing of accounts.\nInitiate contact with the insurance carriers and submit marketing requests.\nTrack status of marketing submissions.\nProvide carriers / underwriters with updated information as requested.\nCompile, review, and respond to all quotations and declinations.\nAnswer intermediate coverage questions, i.e. policy coverage questions, scenario questions, how coverage applies etc. (may need to pull policy for answers)\nReview policies and endorsements for accuracy.\nManage and maintain expiration lists\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n RequirementsKnowledge & Skills:
\n\nAbility to work in a fast paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.\nSets priorities and manages work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.\nMaintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts. Ability to work in a team environment.\nKeep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.\nInteract with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.\nDemonstrate consistently positive customer service skills focused on client and employee retention. \nPerform job responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws.\nMust be comfortable with internet based programs as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products. \nMake effective independent decisions regarding duties and responsibilities. \n\nEducation & Experience:
\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. \n3+ years’ experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Agency. \nSalesforce experience preferred.\nThorough understanding of commercial insurance coverage. \nThorough knowledge of industry policies and procedures.\nProperty & Casualty License\nProfessional designation preferred\n\n
