Position Summary
The Account Manager (AM) will sell, develop, grow, and maintain profitable directional business by providing leadership, planning, and optimal service to our clients. Client contacts are typically at the director level. The AM works closely with the client team to ensure that all client service standards are being met. This position will have a specific client base, which the incumbent will manage. AM’s have direct responsibility for meeting revenue targets, and they are involved in new business proposals and presentations as necessary.
What You’ll Do
Account Management
Meet revenue agreed-upon targets and optimize programs for clients. Identify revenue opportunities within client base and have a solid understanding of the client’s industry, marketing strategy and goals as it applies to lead generation for the client. Introduce, position, and assist in selling DAC’s products and service offerings, as well as work with the team to qualify each client’s opportunities. Work with Account Director or Vice-President to grow revenue and act as support on larger accounts. Participate in new business proposals and presentations as necessary. Liaises internally with the production team to meet project requirements. Ensures that there are clear KPIs established for every client, that these KPIs are monitored and that the program performance meets the agreed upon client KPIs.Client Relationship Management and Communication
Develop and foster productive business relationships and alliances with assigned DAC clients including key decision makers at the VP, Director, and Manager level that will result in optimal service and will maximize long-term opportunities. Provide ongoing support to the account team that will enhance their relationships with their day-to-day contacts. Responsible for the effective and efficient documentation, communication and dissemination of information regarding client activities and client administrative procedures. Ensures team has a complete understanding of required information.Budget and Financials
Assist in the development of annual account plans that meet revenue growth and profit margin targets for assigned clients. Creates Contact Reports, Status Reports, and Budget Control Reports in accordance with DAC’s standards for quality and accuracy. Work proactively with clients to ensure invoicing and payments are correct and paid within the agreed upon time frame; working in conjunction with the Accounting Team.Knowledge and Industry Relations
Demonstrates in depth knowledge of DAC’s product offerings, including digital and directional. Remains knowledgeable about the on-going program activities after a program (print or digital) has been launched.What You Bring
4-6 years of experience in a consultative sales and customer service position, with a focus on providing optimal service and growing accounts. This experience should be in an industry where you are selling a service to businesses, preferably an agency environment. Strong attention to detail and desire for accuracy Good analytical skills, with the ability to see all of the pieces and how each piece fits together to create the entire program Ability to report on relevant data and able to relate results to client’s objectives A tenacious, positive person, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can easily manage multiple project simultaneously Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with members of various internal teams (including Operations and account teams) as well as clients and prospects Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Competency with MS Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook University degree in a related fieldWhat you will get:

This role requires two in-office days per week, with three days in-office during the three-month orientation period. Remote work is not available for this position.
