We are proud of our broad portfolio of more than 19,000 granted and pending patents. **Division Description:** ITW Deltar Fasteners is a large division within the Automotive Segment and serves all the major OEMs and their tier suppliers with plastic fasteners. Locations include: Frankfort, IL; Chippewa Falls, WI and our Commercial Sales and Engineering in Troy, MI. The division drives profitability by leveraging its innovative solutions and application engineering. In addition to ITW’s industry leading research and development capabilities, ITW Deltar Fasteners enhances our customers’ competitive advantage by: + Maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in NA. + Exchanging product, process and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide. + Continually improving processes, material and designs to ensure every product exceeds customer specifications while providing unparalleled value. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Grow the ITW Deltar Plastic business in the Automotive and adjacent markets – take ownership of delivering results and growth. + Nurture customer relationships and drive stakeholder engagements (Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing) resulting in opportunity insight. + Investigate applications and discover market opportunities, followed by developing value-added solutions for the customer. + Support market information to drive planning and business development, including recommending initiatives to drive competitive differentiation. + Cross-collaboration with commercial sales, application engineering, product development and marketing functions to identify platform core products and develop alternative solutions. + Initiate and conduct all possible actions to be able to submit viable quotation to customers. + Develop ideation projects arising from key industry mega-trends and innovative building products. + Utilize CRM data to effectively collect and analyze key sales information, and to manage robust sales processes such as funnel, pricing, account, and ways of working together. + Leverage local market knowledge to focus on growing products and introduction of new ones by applying an “outside - in” discipline. + Support the OEM team(s) to drive customer engagements through value-add interactions such as: Discovery-Discussions, Line-Walks, Tech Reviews and Product Benchmark. + Drive customer growth strategies outlining what we want to achieve, how we are going to achieve it, and setting enablers for success. + Carry out comprehensive tier market research aligned with strategic conquest priorities. + Apply ITW Toolbox and Customer Back Innovation. + Demonstrates personal effectiveness and leadership that creates a culture of high performance. + Nurtures an environment consistent with the ITW values and culture. + Other tasks and duties as assigned. **Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. + Bachelor’s degree - B.A. / B.S. in Engineering, Business or equivalent ITW experience + Passion and drive to deliver results - organized and efficient + Proven track record of creating and implementing customer growth strategies, leading automotive industry accounts and successful customer negotiations + Ability to establish and set data-driven sales targets that tie to long-term growth aspirations. + Excellent interpersonal, communication and sales hunting skills + Proven ability to generate respect and trust from customers; including the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team- oriented environment. + Proven ability to deal with changes in the business or its environment. + Willing to travel; primarily domestic (includes Canada, Mexico) and occasionally other regions. **Preferred:** + Automotive plastic and metal fastener sales and technical experience required + Demonstrated ability to build productive business relationships, to influence and negotiate + At least 8 years’ proven track record of sales growth in Fasteners OEM / Tier accounts
