Position Title: Account Manager
Grand Junction, CO
Minimal overnight travel for occasional training
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Account Manager is responsible for seeking out and engaging new customers. The Airgas product line is industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment, welding products and equipment, tools, hardware and safety products. The Airgas product line is enormous and the quality of our products is second to none!
Communication is key in this position. Your success depends largely on your ability to not only communicate with your customers but also with District, Branch, Sales, and Plant Managers regularly and when necessary to facilitate 100% customer service and satisfaction.
This is a full time position with a competitive base and commission structure, which puts you in the driver’s seat for achieving unlimited potential. In particular, you will:
Seek out new customers and establish a successful relationship with them that results in new business.
Establish and maintain clear and consistent lines of communication with internal departments to facilitate customer successes.
Develop and execute plans to improve Airgas market share.
Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals to prospective customers.
Qualify and pursue sales leads from other parts of the Airgas organization.
Keep local, regional and national Airgas management informed of territory performance, personal performance and market trends.
Maintains focus on safety in the workplace by complying with company safety procedures and practices.
Pay range: Pay range: target pay with commission $75,000.00- $88,000.00 annually ($52,500 - $61,600 base pay annually (plus commission) DOE) Target pay is a 70/30 split between base (70%) and commission (30%) + $600.00 monthly auto allowance and mileage and expense reimbursement.
Incentive pay: This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the following program: monthly commission

Do you also have:
2+ years of industrial/manufacturing/distribution sales experience
Computer proficiency (CRM software is preferred)
Must have reliable transportation to travel to customer sites.
Must have a valid driver's license
No at-fault driving accident within the last 3 years
Desirable but not required:
3+ years’ experience in the welding or safety industry
5+ years’ experience in sales with proven success
