Become an Account Manager/Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll be acting as a corporate liaison to large, complex, and politically sensitive essential use customers. Core job responsibilities include the ability to resolve urgent and complex issues impacting critical care/service 24/7, provide consultative sales and marketing of electric energy programs, and support customer and SCE program goals and strategies.
As an Account Manager/Advisor, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone by consulting with customers to assess their business needs and requirements, identifying beneficial company programs, services, and/or innovative solutions. The individual balances and converts customer-driven support activities into Customer Engagement Division (CED) key performance indicators including Customer Satisfaction, Demand Side Management, Distributed Energy Services and Transportation Electrification.
Responsibilities Develops forecasts for accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets Leverages analytics to assist customers and partners with sales performance and operational excellence (Trade Pros or CED TE Team) Leverages research tools, market research and consumer insights to provide analysis and insights in support of the account planning process and client objectives Supports the renewal and retention discussions and negotiations to ensure win-win outcomes within account management (AFA’s for example) Drives the integration of client success account management into operations to drive client retention and increased activity Monitors and tracks KPIs on account management performance, to continuously improve productivity and efficiency Identifies and makes recommendations regarding competitive threats and trends Performs contractual re-signs on existing customers to extend customer relationship through program and service agreements participation Implements the marketing strategy in partnership with internal counterparts and ensure implementation of strategy across functions Oversees the mass analysis of customer bill impacts resulting from rate changes (i.e., NKAs) A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Seven or more years of experience in account management.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field. Experience in serving or selling to large and complex B2B, government, and/or institutional customers. Knowledge of electrical theory, energy systems, energy efficiency, demand response, interconnection, and transportation electrification. Experience with energy industry issues, utility rates, rules, tariffs, processes, and regulations governing the energy industry. Strong analytical and decision-making skills to identify root causes and recommend actionable solutions.
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs. Available work locations for this position are: Irwindale, Westminster, Rialto, or Redlands.
