Job Description:

Title: Account Manager Associate - Commercial Lines

(Remote) | Book Focus: (Professional Liability, and General Book)

About the Role: Provide administrative and customer service support to the Lawyers Professional Liability Program team and/or Producer.  This role requires working within multiple systems and programs, particularly Microsoft Office and various agency management platforms.  Work with minimal direction from an Account Manager (AM), Underwriter (UW), Program Manager (PM), or Producer, ensuring production and quality standards are met while safeguarding against liability associated with errors and omissions. Independently resolves moderately complex administrative and customer service issues and refers more complex requests or inquiries to appropriate individuals.  The ability to navigate and manage multiple systems seamlessly is essential to success in this role.  

 
Key Responsibilities:

System & Data Management: Maintain accuracy and completeness within agency management systems, carrier/vendor platforms, and Microsoft programs. Track, update, and document all activities effectively.   Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.Policy & Renewal Processing: Assist in managing policy expirations and renewals, gathering underwriting information, preparing submissions, and ensuring timely issuance.Customer Service & Client Communication: Handle service requests, follow up with insureds on outstanding renewal information, and address inquiries related to policies, claims, and billing.Underwriting & Quoting Support: Conduct preliminary reviews of new business applications, assign them appropriately, and track application statuses. Assist with obtaining missing information.Billing & Accounts Receivable: Track aged receivables, process billing and finance agreements, and ensure timely payments. Follow up on delinquent accounts and process cancellations.Reporting: Generate reports for underwriting and track renewal processes.General Administration: Assign incoming emails, issue Certificates of Insurance, and coordinate communication between clients, underwriters, and internal teams.Communication: Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and any issues.Service Excellence: Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests.Policy Compliance: Stay updated on company policies and procedures.Champion IOA Values: Demonstrate integrity and leadership. 

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Experience in Lawyers Professional Liability or other professional liability is preferred.7+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industryStrong ability to navigate and work within multiple systems, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and various agency management platforms.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needsRequired active licensing; professional designation preferredHigh attention to detail with the ability to provide exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills .Strong ability to navigate and work within multiple systems, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and various agency management platforms.High School Diploma (or equivalent)This position requires occasional travel within the United States (approximately 2-3 times per year)
