Account Manager Chemical Synthesis, Materials Science & Biochemistry – Middle East
Your Role
As a Senior Account Manager in our company Life Science, Science & Lab Solutions department Middle East region, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our life science products and services. You will leverage your scientific knowledge and sales expertise to connect with distributors, customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions. Your efforts will directly contribute to our vision of partnering with distributors & customers to focus on accelerating science. The role will be based in Saudi Arabia and will cover the Middle East region.
Key Responsibilities
Product Expertise: Provide expert knowledge on the Chemical Synthesis, Materials Science & Biochemistry product groups and services, demonstrating their value and benefits to customers.Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market research at trade fairs, seminars and workshops for large and complex sales.Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales of our life science products and services, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets.Distributor & Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors & customers, understanding their scientific needs and challenges acting as a contact person in the assigned territory.Solution Development: Develop and present customized solutions that address distributor & customer needs and lead to long term engagement.Sales Strategy: Contribute to and implement effective sales strategies and plans with regional management to achieve company goals.Market and Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact customers and the life science market.Collaboration: Act as liaison on specific distributor & customer projects with the sales, marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience.Reporting: Maintain all communications and opportunities in relevant CRM systems and provide information to relevant teams to enable regular sales reports and market insights to senior management.
Who you are:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, preferably in Organic Chemistry or Materials Science; PhD preferred.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience on a Sales related role in the life science industry.Knowledge: Deep understanding of the life science sector, including key market players, trends, and regulatory environment.Travel: Ability and willingness to travel min. 50% of time; driving license required.Skills:Scientific Expertise: Solid background in life science with the ability to understand and discuss complex scientific concepts. Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.Communication: Excellent verbal and written science communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively, both in Arabic and English.Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain productive professional relationships.Problem-Solving: Creative and analytical thinker with the ability to develop tailored solutions for distributors & customers.Organizational: Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Attributes:Customer-Focused: Passionate about delivering exceptional support and ensuring customer satisfaction.Proactive: Self-motivated and driven, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.Team Player: Collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Adaptable: Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.If you are a motivated and experienced professional with a passion for life science, we invite you to join our team and help us make a difference.
