About The Role

The account manager is responsible for managing and retaining clients within their assigned book of business, ensuring a best-in-class client experience for industry leading retention and growth. Strives to support a faster, better, easier client and team experience by adhering to agency guidelines, workflows, and best practices. 

Responsibilities: 

Serves as the primary group level contact for day-to-day requests, account oversight and escalation for critical client service issues, responding timely and accurately to ensure client satisfaction. Responsible for coordinating compilation of presentation materials for pre-renewal and renewal meetings.Execute instructions provided by the account executive/broker to support all marketing, renewal, and open enrollment related activities to support the client’s renewal decision.Serves as knowledgeable resource for clients in areas of eligibility, claims, COBRA, carrier underwriting guidelines and employee benefits compliance. Ensures all compliance documents and contracts are completed on time and kept updated per regulatory requirements. Delegates tasks to support team members as appropriate, ensuring work is completed within stated timeframes. Maintains excellent client, carrier, and vendor relationships. Acquire and maintain high level experience in Applied Epic, Microsoft Office, Employee Navigator, Suvaun and other agency supported technology tools. Pursues professional development and continuing education by keeping current with technology tools, regulatory changes, product and service enhancements, and other industry trends. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation in correspondence. High degree of critical thinking; ability to problem solve when the answer is not readily apparent. Demonstrated attention to detail, producing outcomes with minimal errors. Understanding of insurance concepts and applicable law as it related to employee benefits. Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced environment. Ability to demonstrate advanced level proficiency with a variety of technology including MS Office Works well with minimal supervision; able to function independently and as part of a team. 

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred, or equitable experience. Three+ years’ experience servicing employee benefit clients in the small and large group segment Minimum one year experience presenting information in a group setting. L&H license required.
