Account Manager, Energy Efficiency Programs 
Location: Grand Rapids or Detroit, MI (Remote – Home Office with Local Travel)

Come join our team as an Account Manager supporting clean energy programs and under-served multifamily communities in Michigan. ICF is seeking a candidate with strong communication skills in the Metro Detroit area to build and manage relationships with developers, builders, building owners, and key community stakeholders aligned with energy efficiency products and services. You’ll design/implement program field outreach strategies and plans. This position requires experience with energy efficiency and in-field inspections. Other responsibilities include outreach in scheduling and communicating with stakeholders in the multifamily sector.  

Working closely with the client and our nation-wide implementation team, you’ll focus on bringing energy efficiency and bill savings to customers including under-served communities, providing safer, more energy efficient homes, and ensuring energy grid stability in the greater Detroit area.

What you will be doing:

Identify new multifamily construction developments, review multifamily building plans/specs, and provide energy efficiency program recommendations Act as a liaison with developers, architects, building owners, builders, contractors, and customers to stay apprised of the industry, understand trends and projections, and provide direction and insights to program teams  Collaborate with regional and national teams to provide national cohesiveness and bring efficiencies & best practices to your client’s programs Schedule and perform field site assessments with customers who are participating in an energy efficiency project Record field visits and communications in customer relationship management tool Assist technical and analytics teams to provide guidance and judgement on energy savings calculations, best practices, and ensure QA/QC standards for the program are met Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 30% to 40% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided) 

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications): 

Bachelor’s Degree (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)  2+ years of related work experience   Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check  Basic skills and able to lift boxes no heavier than 30 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, driving, walking, standing, above head arm movements BPI certification within six months of start date (if not already certified)

Experience in single-family, multifamily, or commercial and industrial sectors Experience in building science, energy resources, or energy policy Expertise in business management, sales, building science, energy resources, or energy policy Expertise in multifamily or commercial and industrial sectors Industry certifications including, but not limited to: BPI, PMP, CEM, LEED Professional affiliations including, but not limited to: BPI, RESNET, AESP, MEECA, MEEA, ACEEE, ASHRAE, or AEE 


Professional Skills:  

Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn ICF database/project tracking system Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$59,469.00 - $101,098.00
