Location

This is a HYBRID role, with 2 days in office at our Minneapolis office and 3 day remote.

 

Position Summary

The Retail Account Manager will be responsible for proactively building business relationships with contacts in the EDI/IT department across the territory. This involves providing high level account support, understanding business process and initiatives, earning endorsement of target contacts and uncovering opportunities to introduce SPS Commerce’s suite of solutions to solve business problems.

 

Key Responsibilities

Reach out to target contacts to schedule introductory calls and maintain ongoing relationshipLearn business processes, challenges and upcoming initiatives that may present sales opportunities for SPS CommerceProvide high level support for target accounts, helping to route inquiries or issues to the proper internal teams to ensure quick resolutionCollaborate with internal teams to ensure account is being properly supported and share account insights that could lead to additional sales opportunitiesEducate contacts on SPS Commerce’s value prop to both buying organizations and their suppliersEarn endorsement to be listed on 3rd party EDI provider lists and gain “vendor referral” leadsIdentify key EDI contacts within target accountsSet agenda and lead external / discovery meetings

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience3+ years in sales or account management, or similar roleProblem-solving mindset while being curious and having a customer-centric focusStrong, professional and confident verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrates integrity and self-motivationStrong skills related to relationship building, collaboration, organization and prioritizationCreative and adaptable improviser with an ability to work off script when executing new approaches or responding to unforeseen obstaclesProven competence with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

 

Preferred Experience

Prior experience working in supply chain, specifically retail, grocery or distributionDemonstrated abilities and comfort to navigate a variety of platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach.io, Zoom Info, LinkedIn, etc)

At SPS Commerce, we are committed to ensuring that each employee's compensation reflects their unique experiences, performance, and skills in their role. The compensation range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more. SPS provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and annualized commission target for this role.

 

The total annualized on-target compensation range for this position is $88,600- $115,400. Actual compensation will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
