Account Receivable Analyst
Description We are seeking a meticulous and driven Accounts Receivable professional to join our client's team in the consumer goods industry. This role requires a professional with a solid background in managing chargebacks, deductions, and full-cycle AR functions. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial records, resolving client disputes, and improving our overall cash flow process. Key Responsibilities: + Chargeback Management: Analyze, validate, and resolve chargebacks and deductions, including gathering supporting documentation, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring timely resolution. + Reconciliation and Collections: Reconcile customer accounts, manage AR aging reports, and execute follow-ups on overdue payments to minimize delinquencies. + Cash Applications: Accurately process and apply payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions, while maintaining proper documentation. + Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to resolve disputes, ensure correct billing, and address customer inquiries. + Reporting: Prepare and maintain AR reports, chargeback summaries, and KPI metrics for management review. + Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline AR processes, reduce chargeback occurrence, and improve overall efficiency within the department. + Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and customer agreements, maintaining a high level of data integrity. Requirements + 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably within the consumer goods or retail industry. + Proven expertise in managing chargebacks, deductions, and reconciliations. + Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables). + Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. + Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues. + Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with customers and internal teams. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
