WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAMThis is an exciting opportunity to join a growing accounting team at a leading management consulting firm. You will play a key role in performing general ledger operations for Bain’s Americas offices, including cash reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, prepayments and accruals, and recording of expenses. You will work closely with other teams across the business and contribute to financial reporting, process improvements, and special projects.
WHAT YOU’LL DOSupport the month-end financial close process, including preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, and contributing to monthly reporting packages for senior leadership.Serve as a key financial partner to finance leadership, FP&A, HR, and other internal teams.Maintain controls and documentation over financial accounting processes.Assist with various special projects related to financial reporting and process improvements.ABOUT YOUBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.0–2 years of accounting experience.Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and internal controls.Strong critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems independently or as part of a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail while maintaining a broad view of business objectives.Ability to learn and use financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Workday, Tableau).Proficiency in Excel.Ethical, high-integrity individual capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.Strong proficiency in English (verbal and written).NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONSPrior experience in a finance or accounting-related internship.Exposure to financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
