This role will consist of accounting and tax activities across two business divisions, plasma collection and plasma derivative. The key activities will include bookkeeping, standard accounts reconciliations, cash allocations, sales invoicing, maintaining IFRS16 lease schedule, facilitating information requests from consultants on taxes (direct & indirect) and holding pen on the overall business compliance trackers (including sales taxes, use taxes, property taxes, Federal, state, franchise, excise etc).
Accounting Responsibilities:
In the Accounting/Tax role, various tasks can be assigned or cross-trained in order to provide backup. However the key roles and responsibilities will include,
Tax
• Assist the with tax filings (Sales & Use tax, Business Licenses, Personal Property, etc.)
• Work with tax preparation vendors to support the preparation and filing of estimated and annual state income, premium and retaliatory compliance returns, payments, e-filing and any necessary workpapers. Managing the information from the consultants and timely delivery of such information
• Assemble and file other various state tax compliance: Sales and use, property taxes, assessments and license filings. Maintain schedule for taxes.
• Prepare/Coordinate Sales/Use tax filings with external consultants.
• Provide timely responses on external and internal correspondence.
• Assist the consultants with provision of information to support with federal and state tax audits
• Proactively prepares and regularly updates tax payment plan through collaboration with the company’s principal tax consultants
• Provision of information to external tax consultants to assist with registrations and de registrations as needed for the Kedrion US entities.
• Holding pen, updating and maintaining company compliance fillings tracker
• Facilitating government transparency pricing reporting and fee payments in collaboration with company compliance solutions agents
• Engaging in continuous learning to stay on top of US tax law/requirements along with the support from our tax advisors
Accounting
• Monthly sales volume and value reporting to FP&A for reconciliation
• Preparing monthly standard accounts reconciliation (cash, prepaids, taxes, standard accruals)
• Book-keeping activities (cash posting, allocations, prepaid ammortisations etc)
• Maintaining and updating IFRS16 lease schedule inputs in collaboration with the Plasma division Finance Director and feedbacking the updates into Group accounting function
• Fixed Asset- responsible for maintaining up to date asset register, assist with admin asset tasks, update monthly reporting
• Assist the accounting team with preparing and entering journal entries
• Assist information provision requested by company auditors
• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices/ credit memo based on sales and service agreements, ensure invoices are recorded in the accounting system in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required and/or other Accounting certification
• Position should be 1-2 years experience with Finance responsibility, i.e. bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts receivables, exposure to Accounting, etc.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
• Presentation of strong analytical, financial and system skills
• Proficiency in Accounting software: SAP or similar erp system
• Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
• Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Detail and deadline oriented.
