Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to join our Paramus, NJ facility!

As our Maintenance Repair Tech, you will work closely with the Maintenance Engineer to ensure machines are running at optimal performance. This is a great role for an individual with some maintenance and fabrication (welding) experience who wishes to expand their knowledge, particularly in preventative maintenance.  

As our Accountant, you will maintain accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.

You will perform professional accounting work including compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. Requires an understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles and bookkeeping experience.

Location: Paramus, NJ

Shift: Monday-Friday, hybrid schedule

Salary: $70,000-$80,000

Your Challenge:

Examines assigned accounting documents to verify accuracy of computations and uniform application of policies, procedures, and acceptable accounting standards. (20%)Reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. (20%)Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and other accounting statements and reports.  (15%)Reviews, coordinates, and provides documentation to support various internal and external audit requirements. (15%)Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings. (15%)May design, modify, install, and/or maintain general accounting systems to provide records of assets, liabilities, and financial statements. (15%)

What You Bring:

Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting2-3 years' experienceHigh accuracy in handling and recording financial transactions.Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and clients.Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve accounting discrepancies.Has an understanding of and commitment to ethical practices in accounting.
