DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Accountant 1, you will utilize the Treasury's reporting software to obtain necessary reports to create monthly cash journals, enter and post investment activity into general ledger software, and verify ending balances. You will play a role in retrieving and analyzing investment transaction data and updating as necessary. Work includes entering data into SWIF’s investment system and assisting Accountant 2s with month end reconciliation and Treasury daily activity reports. You will have the opportunity to communicate with money managers and Treasury regarding trade tickets and related investment information. As a member of the Reporting Section of the Financial Management Division’s Accounting Department, you will be responsible for all of the duties mentioned, however you will focus primarily on aiding in the preparation and/or analysis of management reports and financial statements.
