POSITION SUMMARY: The Accountant 2 reports to the Manager, Revenue & Financial Compliance. This role will be the “first line” of support and subject matter expert for all travel and reimbursable expense questions. Primary responsibilities include the proper accounting of employee expense reports, managing the company airfare invoice, processing accounts payable invoices, and preparing journal entries. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Audit, code, and process employee expense reports and vendor invoices within the accounting system. + Communicate effectively with employees and vendors to request expense report clarification, additional documentation, provide guidance on NuScale’s Travel and Expense Reimbursement Procedure, etc. + Process periodic payments to employees and vendors. + Reconcile the company airfare invoice, including gathering required support for each trip and working to identify and utilize airfare credits owed to the company. + Manage the travel portal and company department web pages. + Communicate with suppliers as necessary to facilitate reconciliation of payments, changes to account information, gather information regarding payment methods, etc. + Provide support for periodic audit requests. + Prepare journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP. + Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES: + Education/Certification: Minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Accounting is preferred). An additional 4 years (7 – 9 years total) of full-time working experience in a corporate accounting setting may be considered in lieu of a degree. + Experience: Minimum years of applicable, full-time working experience in a corporate setting are required dependent on education as stated below: + Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of full-time working experience + Associate’s Degree plus 5 years of full-time working experience + Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices and high level of accuracy and attention to detail. + Demonstrated proficiency in data entry, accounting software and Microsoft Suite, especially Excel, required. Oracle ERP system experience is preferred. + Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810. Pay and Benefits: The target pay range for this position is 31.99 - $38.61 hourly. The full pay range is $28.68 - $44.86 hourly.
