Accountant
 

As an Accountant in our ASICS Digital Finance team, you will play an integral role in owning the Fixed Assets (Intangibles) process and supporting the monthly close while partnering with various cross-functional teams to help drive key initiatives and perform various activities related to bank reconciliation, prepaids, accruals, credit cards and more.
 

How you will help us:

Based in our Hoofddorp HQ and reporting to our ASICS Digital Finance Manager, as part of the role you will:

Manage Fixed (Intangible) Assets Accounting. You own and maintain the tracking, capitalization, and amortization of developed software costs and collaborate with various departments to receive the most accurate and up-to-date information. Assist in Monthly and Quarterly Close. You assist with the monthly and quarterly close process (bank reconciliation, prepaids, accruals, credit cards, A/R, A/P, etc.) to ensure accurate results are delivered and reported in a timely manner in accordance with US GAAP, as well as assist with the review of journal entries and general ledger management and review coding of expenses to ensure proper allocation between teams. Support Tax and Audit Processes. You will support bi-annual J-SOX audits and schedule requests of auditors, prepare documentation in support of annual tax requests from tax consultant and prepare and file 1099s. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: You will document and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and integrity of financials Support Finance Improvement Projects. You will partner with cross-functional teams to help drive key initiatives & process improvements, aid in the migration from QuickBooks to SAP, and support the finance team with ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

What we are looking for:

Strong Accounting Know-how. You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, possess strong US GAAP knowledge, and have at least 4 years of experience in Accounting, ideally with at least 2 years of Fixed Asset Accounting (specifically Intangibles) experience. Technical Expertise. You are an Excel master and are able to work with large volumes of transactional data. Ideally you have experience with SAP or a similar ERP. Excellent Analytical Skills. You pay attention to detail while keeping the big picture in mind and can enjoy employing critical thinking and problem-solving skills as part of your role.
