Summary:

This Corporate Accounting position in the Payroll area is responsible for assisting with running the weekly payroll process, maintaining payroll and tax related configuration in SAP Business Software Incorporated (BSI), correcting payroll and/or tax related errors in SAP, and implementing and testing upgrades and Human Resources Support Packages (HRSPs) to SAP.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with projects related to SAP Payroll upgrades, assisting with payroll activities as related to daily support, and assisting with any SAP payroll configuration items required for integrating payroll in acquisitions and divestitures. This position requires an understanding of laws and regulations related to payroll and the integration of payroll related entries to the general ledger.

Additional duties include but are not limited to:

Creating ad hoc reports, flow charting and documenting processes, reviewing and understanding weekly payroll processes and other duties as the need arises. This position will be required to work within the controls and change management procedures for all SAP payroll system changes, and maintain appropriate applications testing documentation.

Requirements:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job (Accounting, Finance, or IT degree preferred).Experience:  1+ years of payroll related experience preferred.  Computer Skills: Working knowledge of SAP FICO, SAP Payroll, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.  Communication Skills:  Strong written, presentation, and verbal communications skills. Must be able to articulate changes required and impacts on related systems processes and users and user groups of the SAP System through presentations to affected groups.Special Skills: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred, but not required.  Knowledge of payroll tax laws, FLSA, DOL, time collection, payroll processing is preferred, but not required. The ability to problem solve, work well as a team or individually. Must be a self-starter with a high level of motivation and the ability to motivate others. Travel:  Minimum
