The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining cash accounts, fixed assets, landlord reporting and assisting with the month-end and year-end.
As our Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Responsible for the daily postings and reconciliation of ECCO bank accounts and cash clearing accounts for the US and Canada. Maintain fixed assets and depreciation registers in compliance with corporate policy. Prepare and post weekly payroll journal entries from payroll provider and monthly accruals. Manage monthly landlord rent payments, reconciliations and reporting. Maintain Vendor Master Data. Schedule payments to HQ on a weekly basis. Support budget and forecasting and prepare analysis of accounts, as required. Assist with month-end close and preparing and posting various journal entries in SAP. Assist in reconciling all applicable balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. Assist with various state and local filings and payments as required. Reconcile inter-company accounts payable and receivable between related ECCO entities. Other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Support and participate in GBS. The Global Business Services team is a global team helping ECCO simplify, standardize, and transparentize the transactional finance processes.
If you have…
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. 3+ years in same or similar position. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel. Experience with SAP and Outlook a plus. Strong organization and multitasking skills. High level of accuracy with emphasis on attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and other departments, as well as work professionally with external customers and vendors. Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level. Ability to travel up to 5% both domestic and internationally.
