As an Accountant, you’ll assist in the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of the general ledger and financial statements within your assigned functional area or department and provide guidance on financial operations. Our integrity and high-quality work of analyzing financial data ensure we accurately reflect the transactions across our businesses. Through a strategic long-term view and compliance with accounting standards, we help position our business leaders to make better and timely decisions that achieve our goals.

WHAT OUR ACCOUNTANTS ENJOY MOST

Preparing month-end journal entries detailing accounting transactions over the calendar month. Reviewing variances both in trends and budget and being prepared to present the financial statements to the supervisor. Providing insight into the variances including communicating with personnel on accounting related issues, completing monthly variance reports, supporting the audit process, and providing specific required analysis on assigned areas. Affirming cost validations and performing analysis reviewing the accuracy of programming spend. Completing additional required filings for assigned areas. Updating all required schedules for maintaining the balance sheet, including preparing reconciliations. Being responsible for compliance with SOX controls. Reviewing transactional level detail including accounts payable transactions.Performing other duties as requested by the supervisor.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

General Ledger Accounting Experience- 2-4 yearsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related fieldAbility to speak, read, write, and understand EnglishAbility to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward mannerAbility to handle multiple projects and tasksAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to read, write, and communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional mannerAbility to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)Ability to work with moderate supervisionKnowledge of cable television products and services

Working Conditions

Hybrid Schedule- Four in-office days and one remote day weekly
