Description We are working with a local non-profit organization seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join their team. This position will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis process by developing, monitoring, and analyzing budgets to ensure efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively. Requirements Responsibilities: + Develop and maintain the budget related to one grant. + Monitor budgetary performance against established targets and provide regular reports and analysis to stakeholders. + Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for cost optimization. + Collaborate with departmental managers to understand their budgetary needs and provide guidance on budget development and expenditure tracking. + Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections based on historical data and future trends. + Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance budgeting and financial analysis processes. + Participate in budget planning meetings and provide expertise and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. + Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to budgeting and financial management. + Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management. + Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in budgeting and financial analysis. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. + Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or related field, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting. + Non-profit & public experience preferred. + Strong proficiency in financial modeling, spreadsheet analysis, and budgeting software (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle). + Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights. + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis. + Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. + Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. + Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. + Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all aspects of work.
