At MOD, you will be a key contributor to our accounting team being responsible for general ledger entry, daily and monthly cash reconciliations, general and administrative accruals and lease administration tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with various internal and external stakeholders. This role reports to the Manager of Accounting.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for the monthly reconciliations of all cash accounts and other accounts as assigned. This includes the preparation and posting of appropriate journal entries during the month-end close process. Collaborate with individuals cross-functionally to prepare general and administrative expense accruals. Prepare other month-end entries relating to prepaid expenses, utilities, etc. Serve as the primary point of contact for landlords and property managers on lease administration inquiries. Effectively team with the lease accountant and real estate teams to ensure accurate record keeping and lease changes are properly captured. Analyze and prepare daily and weekly store revenue reports related to cash. Assist store general managers on accounting questions related to cash deposits or other inquiries. Support other ad hoc accounting projects as needed. Basic Qualifications Understanding of basic accounting principles. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail. Skilled in effectively planning, organizing and managing multiple priorities. Comfortable in working with large data sets using excel functions and formulas to organize and analyze data in Microsoft excel. High degree of professionalism and integrity. A positive upbeat personality who believes in opportunities rather than obstacles. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP is preferred. Physical RequirementsOffice work involves remaining in a stationary position most of the time in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and telephone. Regularly operate a computer and other office equipment. Occasionally move about the work site to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or regularly move objects. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person and electronically.
