Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in the Oil & Gas - Field Services industry, located in the Danbury, CT area. As an Accountant, you'll be entrusted with the management of daily inventory, assisting with month-end closing tasks, and the preparation of tax returns and annual reports. Your role will also encompass process improvement, requiring you to observe and suggest enhancements to current processes. Responsibilities • Manage daily inventory activities and provide detailed reports • Assist in month-end closing tasks including, but not limited to, journal entries, general ledger analysis, and financial reporting • Prepare tax returns and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations • Participate in financial audits, providing necessary documentation and information • Observe current accounting processes, and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy • Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to perform various accounting functions • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
