**Primary** **Purpose** **of** **Position:** Support daily and month-end close project accounting activities in order to capitalize projects timely. Provides accounting support and follows up for project capitalization items including but not limited to, asset management, project accounting, fixed assets accounting. Tracks advance of open projects and provides indicators of completion. Is able to work with the Business Divisions, that we provide service, and Manager to partner up and solve problems in a timely fashion. **Essential** **Functions** **and Responsibilities:** 1. Daily and month end tasks could include but are not limited to; work closely with the job cost accountant to coordinate efficientlytheendtoend processof;AuthorizationsforExpenditure(AFE) andAuthorizationsfor Lease(AFL). Monitorstatus ofeachproject untilprojects arecompleted.This includes monitoringofjobcostsystem, reconciliationsand variousreporting needs. Additional tasks including requesting the assets into service in the ERP and requesting_disposaIs and transfers if needed. 2. Prepares journal entries from source documentation for any necessary accruals. This may include, but is not limited to, performing andreviewing calculations prepared byothers, summarizingsourcedata, evaluating reliability ofsource dataand verifying account coding. 3. Providesaccuratereporting totheFinance, Capital andEngineeringteambeforemonth-end closeandproactivelyspeaksup ifactionsareneeded tomitigateunder-overstatementinCIP. This willincludebutisnotlimitedto,CIPAPaccruals,partialor completecapitalizationofassetsinthecorrectaccounting quarter,ensuringcostsintheprojectareaccurateandreviewing budget to actual. 4. Viewedasasubjectmatterexpert ontheiraccountingprocesses, andisabletoworkwithManagertoprovideassistanceand resolutiononaccountingfornewitemsandquestionsfrommultipledepartmentsandlevels. 5. Meets tight deadlines consistently and reliably, and is responsible for communicating any deadlines that may be missed to immediate supervisor in a timely manner. 6. Abletocommunicateefficientlyandeffectivelywithvariousgroupsofpeople. 7. Maintainsprocessdocumentationandupdatesthedocumentationasprocesseschange.FollowsCorporatepoliciesand department StandardOperating Procedures. 8. Abletonavigateand useERPandothercompanysystems. 9. Performssuchindividualassignmentsasmanagementmaydirect. 10. Respondsto internalandexternalinquiries. 11. Establishesandmaintainsanemployeerelationsclimateoftrustandconfidence. Position Requirements: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: + Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through college level education and previous experience. + Jobrelatedexperiencefor3yearsminimum + Working knowledge of the following areas: accountingprinciples,practices,nomenclature,procedures,excel,word,JDE preferred. + Ability to apply standard evaluation, **selection,** and substantial adaptation and modification of standard accounting techniques, procedures, and criteria. + Mustbeabletohandlesensitiverelatedandproprietaryinformationina confidentialmanner. + Must be able to organize, plan and prioritize assigned responsibilities. + Worksunderafewsupervisionwithparameterssetbymanagement. + Mustfollowcompanypolicies,procedures,practices,andstandardsof conductasoutlinedintheBallCorporationmanuals. + Abilityto performintermediatemathematicalcalculations. + Abilitytooperateandfunctionallyuseacomputerandcalculator + Abilitytomeetdeadlines,concentrate,andpayattentiontodetail. + Ability to analyze and interpret data in order to make recommendations.
