Description We are seeking a dedicated Accountant for our Insurance sector team based in Jersey City, New Jersey. This role will primarily focus on managing and processing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. Responsibilities: • Oversee the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions to ensure timely processing and payment • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy • Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis • Prepare and post monthly journal entries for accurate record keeping • Perform month-end close activities to ensure all financial data is captured • Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient data management and reporting. Requirements • Candidate must possess a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures. • Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must. • Must have experience in execution of Bank Reconciliations. • Demonstrated knowledge of General Ledger management is required. • Proficiency in making Journal Entries is essential. • Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary. • Familiarity with NetSuite software is a significant advantage. • Proficiency in Oracle software is desirable. • Experience in QuickBooks software usage is necessary. • Knowledge of SAP software is a big plus.
