Qualifications

Who we want… (Requirements)

A bachelors’ degree in accounting/finance/business and three (3) years of experience in financial accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with a construction company a plus.Must possess proficient computer skills including the ability to utilize a cloud-based integrated accounting system, spreadsheets, word processing and e-mail applications. Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, possess excellent communication skills and be able to coordinate efforts with internal NexGen personnel. Construction job cost and CMIC experience a plus.The new team member should be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development. What we expect… (Essential Functions)

Provides clerical support in a wide range of activities that include, but are not limited to, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Tasks that may be associated arePayables processing primarily within a cloud-based integrated accounting system including: subcontractor payments in Textura and vendor paymentsPrint and mail vendor check payments paying specific attention to discount opportunitiesCommunicates with vendors regarding unresolved balances and or discrepancies when neededBackup for company expense reimbursements utilizing Concur Expense with electronic file transfer. Ensure team member expense reimbursements are in accordance with company policies and procedures.Process monthly customer billings and prepare cost support back-up as required by customer contractsMonitor billing tracker to ensure all billings for the month are in and work with project teams to start up new direct to customer billing cyclesPrepare and record general ledger journal entries into accounting software system, including job cost allocations and journal entriesOther duties may be assigned
