Job Description
We are seeking an Entry Level Accountant who will assist in coordinating work within the department and with other departments. The role involves reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor and responding to inquiries or requests for information.
ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of duties to support the accounting function, including processing general ledger entries daily.Process additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation entries in the fixed asset system and reconcile with the general ledger.Process transfers of money as needed and make appropriate journal entries with each transaction.Prepare monthly AR and inventory certification for the bank.Enter payment on EFTPS for CS and CST for sales and use taxes.Pay taxes online (FET, CAT, etc.).Reconcile bank accounts for each division.Handle intercompany journal entries and reconciliation, including documentation, analysis, and reconciliation of various accounts as needed.Assist the Controller and CFO in year-end audit preparation.Prepare quarterly compilation reporting for auditors.Assist with cash management.Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.Analyze account information when requested.Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the department and other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.Abide by current laws and organizational policies and procedures to promote a harassment-free and non-discriminatory workplace.Support adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested or according to an established schedule, compile necessary information, and provide data to appropriate personnel.Respond to inquiries relating to the accounting area or requests from customers and other personnel within given time frames and established policy.Essential SkillsAccountingGeneral ledgerReconciliationJournal entryMonth-end reportingCash managementCash flow managementData entryFinancial statement preparationBalance sheet managementAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociates degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of two years' experience in related positions.ERP experience (Client uses AS400).Daily cash management experience.Experience in financial reporting, audit, fixed assets accounting, accounts receivable, and year-end closings.Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics.Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills.Proficient in PC skills, including Internet, Excel, and other Microsoft Office suite applications.Strong organizational skills, flexibility, confidentiality, detail-oriented.Work Environment
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. The position is fully in-office with a flexible schedule during standard business hours.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.85
