Description We are in search of an Accountant to join our clients' team in the manufacturing industry, based in Kemah, Texas. This role provides a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As an Accountant, your primary responsibilities will involve managing daily accounting tasks, creating financial statements, and reporting to ensure the company is fully aware of its financial health. Responsibilities • Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information to provide decision-making support to various customers. • Set up systems and procedures for cost monitoring and reporting. • Manage daily accounting tasks to contribute to the efficient operation of the department. • Distribute costs accurately according to procedures by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries. • Prepare financial statements to keep the company informed about its financial condition. • Prepare monthly journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations to accurately close the monthly fiscal period. • Verify transaction information, schedule, and prepare disbursements to pay invoices. • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and cost centers. • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries. • Maintain and enhance processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes • Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures • Proven experience in Auditing • Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in using VLOOKUP function in Excel • Familiarity with VLOOKUPs & Pivot Table in Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
