Description We are in search of an adept Accountant to be a part of our team in Winfield, Kansas. In this role, you'll be tasked with managing various accounting functions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, along with auditing and maintaining accounting software systems. Responsibilities: • Training and supervising Accounting Clerks, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time • Assisting the General Manager and Group Controller in safeguarding the company's financial assets • Ensuring the completion of department’s month-end tasks to meet monthly and annual reporting requirements • Maintaining and ensuring compliance of AR, AP, Payroll, Inventory, and Fixed Asset systems • Updating the payroll system for related changes and processing bi-weekly payroll • Managing customer and vendor invoices, ensuring they are posted to the correct GL accounts • Estimating the company's weekly cash needs and completing the weekly vendor payment process • Managing customer warranty disputes, vendor returns, and RGAs, ensuring related transactions are performed accurately and timely • Participating in the year-end financial audit and providing supporting audit documentation as needed • Monitoring the annual physical inventory count, tracking annual physical inventory counts, investigating significant count discrepancies, and posting results to the general ledger • Administering various software systems, training software users as needed, and troubleshooting issues as requested • Acting as the initial IT support contact, partnering with a third-party vendor to resolve IT issues, managing software license renewals, and ordering IT supplies as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must. • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required. • Deep understanding of basic and advanced Accounting Functions is essential. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures is necessary. • Ability to handle Accounts Receivable (AR) efficiently is expected. • Proven track record in Auditing is important. • Proficient in Balance Sheet Account management.
