Major Duties:
- Direct Tax:
Withholding tax (TDS) - Expert knowledge in understanding TDS law and implementing the same in day-to-day activities and guiding relevant stake holders. includes reviews of TDS deductions made, remittance, reconciliation with P&L, filing of quarterly returns and issuance of certificates to vendors.
Advance Tax & Minimum Alternate Tax (AT) - Computation and payment of quarterly advance tax and MAT tax.
Corporate Tax Returns (ITR) - Expert knowledge in computation of corporate tax and preparation of income tax returns, verification of relevant information with audited financial statements for accurate preparations of tax computation and returns.
Transfer Pricing (TP) - Working knowledge of preparation of documents required for TP report and verify TP study report.
Tax Assessments: - Attending to corporate tax, TDS, TP, responding to notices/letters and other tax hearing matters, interaction with tax office should be cordial adhering to internal process and furnish all required information and reports within due dates
Consultants: - Interact and coordinate with company tax consultants on various tax opinion, litigation and general discussion, and maintain cordial relationship.
Internal Controls - Canidate should adhere to internal control process and monitor the same continuously to improve the process efficiently related to all direct tax matters.
Others - Accounting for expatriate tax (TDS), Provident Fund and Professional Tax and filing quarterly TDS returns.
- Indirect Tax:
Goods & Services Tax (GST) - Expert knowledge required in preparation of monthly GSTR 1, GSTR 3B, Annual GST returns and filing of refund application.
Tax Assessments: - Attending to GST notices/letters and other tax hearing matters and interaction with tax office should be cordial, adhering to internal process, and furnish all required information and reports within due dates
Consultants: - Interact and coordinate with company tax consultants on various tax opinion, litigation and general discussion, and maintain cordial relationship.
Internal Controls - Canidate should adhere to internal control process and monitor the same continuously to improve the process efficiently related to all indirect tax matters. Maintain accurate reconciliation of GST balances between books, GST portal & GST returns.
Skills:
Working knowledge required in the following areas:
Filing and checking of relevant annual returns and forms under Companies Act 2013.
Filing of monthly, quarterly and annual returns with Software Technology Parks of India & Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Responding to frequent letters and information requested by Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Working knowledge of other applicable laws and relevant compliance under them.
Maintain cordial relationship with all internal stake holders and address their query and information on timely manner.
Experience & Qualifications:
Commerce graduate with relevant experience/ CA Intermediate/ CA.
6 to 8 years' experience into Direct & Indirect Tax, Indian Taxation, Tax Compliance etc.
Shift Timings: This role would be for APAC shift coverage - 9 AM to 6 PM IST
