Description We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accountant with experience in nonprofit financial management. This role will be key to ensuring the effective management of our finances, supporting both our day-to-day operations and long-term goals. Key Responsibilities: Financial Closing: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes Manage fixed asset tracking and balance sheet reconciliations Update and maintain revenue-related financial spreadsheets Allocate and monitor administrative costs across various departments and projects Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile transactions for three separate bank accounts to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial records Contract Management: Oversee and manage 30+ contracts, including non-profit operations, grants, and cost allocation agreements Manage complex invoicing processes, ensuring compliance with contract terms and timely payments Prepare and track budgets related to contracts and grant-funded programs Excel Reporting & Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel skills to generate financial reports, monitor expenditures, and track revenue Develop financial models, pivot tables, and charts to support organizational decision-making Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent detail oriented experience) 2-4 years of experience in accounting or financial management, ideally within a non-profit organization Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial analysis tools Experience with contract management, grants, and cost allocation preferred High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
