Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a committed and meticulous Sr Accountant in Houston, Texas, United. Within this role, your main function will be to uphold the accounting integrity of corporate financial data by implementing suitable internal controls. You will be expected to take the lead in special projects, which includes the research, analysis, and reporting of issues that affect the company, and making recommendations for solutions. Responsibilities: • Implement appropriate internal controls to ensure the accounting integrity of corporate financial data. • Lead special projects, including researching, analyzing, and reporting on issues affecting the company. • Make recommendations for solutions and follow through to resolution. • Prepare financial reports in compliance with GAAP to accurately reflect the company's financial status. • Prepare and maintain month-end journal entries and supporting documentation such as revenues, cost of goods sold, receivables, prepaids, fixed assets, deposits, etc. • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations. • Compile and analyze financial information for regulatory reporting. • Analyze costs by responsibility center and communicate monthly with business owners. • Provide guidance and direction to other team members. Requirements • Proficiency in Documentation and Reporting • Familiarity with various Procedures and Compliance standards • Ability to handle Reconciliations and Onboarding tasks • Capability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial analyses • Experience in Implementation of financial strategies and Deposits management • Expertise in Financial Reporting and Journal Entries • Understanding of best Practices in accounting • Strong Communication Skills • Experience in Staffing and managing Suppliers • Proficiency in Month End Close procedures • Skills in Research Analysis and understanding of Company Policy • Knowledge of Internal Control mechanisms • Fluency in GAAP Accounting practices • Ability to Lead Special Projects • Experience with handling Commision Functions • Willingness to work Onsite • Ability to manage Expense Account • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
