Description We are offering a contract for a detail-oriented Accountant position in Pasadena, Texas. In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring accuracy and validity of our company's books and records, supporting the monthly close process, and improving our accounting and treasury workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the reconciliation, analysis, and review of general ledger accounts to maintain accuracy and validity of transactions
• Support the monthly close process and comply with established timelines
• Involved in monthly production/cost accounting and inventory valuation
• Manage the process of journal entries
• Document and monitor internal controls, supporting the Administration Department and Internal Audit team
• Identify new processes and review existing ones to develop efficient workflows and compliant controls
• Leverage technology to automate processes and procedures in the Accounting and Treasury functions
• Assist in fulfilling external financial/operational data requests
• Process and maintain customer invoices
• Support the financial audit process and respond to queries timely
• Update foreign exchange rates regularly and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Assist with the analysis of financial statements on a regular basis and report on variances
• Responsible for the external financial reporting process
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Support the implementation of the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System
• Prepare and submit government reports. Requirements
• The candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of an Accountant.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must.
• Advanced Experience with Excel - VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables is required.
• Experience with SAP Business One is highly preferred
• The candidate should be able to handle all Accounting Functions effectively.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• The candidate should have experience in Auditing.
• The ability to manage the Balance Sheet Account is essential.
