Description We are seeking an Accountant to join our team, located in Canton, Ohio. In this role, you will be tasked with performing a range of accounting duties, with a specific focus on customer service, invoicing, data entry, and credit card processing, among others. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Manage customer inquiries regarding billing, account status, and payment options, resolving any discrepancies or issues in a detail-oriented and timely manner. • Create and distribute precise invoices to clients based on contract terms or customer agreements, always ensuring compliance with company procedures. • Enter financial data accurately into accounting software and maintain current records, verifying the integrity of financial data by confirming its accuracy and completeness. • Record cash receipts and post payments to customer accounts, monitoring payment activity and updating accounts to ensure accurate financial tracking. • Process customer credit card payments and maintain transaction records, ensuring prompt and accurate processing while adhering to security and privacy guidelines. • Oversee and monitor outstanding receivables, send timely reminders to clients about overdue balances, and work closely with clients to address any payment issues. Follow up on overdue accounts and maintain aging reports. Requirements • Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accountant • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial • Auditing skills are mandatory • Knowledge of Balance Sheet Account is needed • Proficiency in Sage Accounting Software is required • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential • Strong Customer Service skills are required • Experience in Receiving Payments is necessary Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
