Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous and reliable Accountant to become a part of our dynamic team, located in Eugene, Oregon. As an Accountant, your core duties will involve the use of QuickBooks for carrying out various accounting functions, ensuring that the financial data is accurate, and addressing any issues related to the payroll system. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle the setup and maintenance of QuickBooks to ensure it functions correctly • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain financial accuracy • Manage the payroll system in QuickBooks, ensuring correct setup and resolving any discrepancies • Maintain the Balance Sheet Account and Chart of Accounts to ensure financial accuracy • Review and troubleshoot payroll taxes and other reports for accuracy and compliance • Determine long-term accounting needs and devise strategies to meet those needs • Assist in transitioning the accounting responsibilities from a family member to ensure smooth operation • Ensure accurate bookkeeping and prepare financial reports as required.
