Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional to join a prominent organization in Harrisburg as an Entry-Level Accountant. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their careers in accounting. This Accountant role will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining records, and supporting various accounting functions. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in preparing and maintaining financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements + Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy in reporting. + Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner, including invoice entry, collections, and payment issuance. + Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and adjusting entries. + Prepare and analyze key financial reports, identifying discrepancies or variances for resolution. + Assist with audits by gathering documentation and responding to auditor requests. + Work with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards. + Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documents and databases for record-keeping and reporting purposes. + Participate in ad hoc projects and assignments to support the accounting department. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting fundamentals. + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial software; experience with accounting tools such as QuickBooks or SAP is a plus. + Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. + High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly. + Exposure to internships or coursework in accounting. + Familiarity with data entry and financial analysis. + Collaborative team environment with access to experienced industry professionals.
