Description We are offering an opportunity in Hillsboro, Oregon, for a proficient Accountant to augment our client's team. In this role, you will be primarily engaged in property tax filing, data entry, and account auditing. This role is a strictly project-based need, and allows for a part-time schedule. Responsibilities: • Engage in property tax filing tasks, including updating new additions and removing obsolete items • Ensure accurate and timely filing of returns • Take responsibility for data entry and uploading tasks • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions • Maintain and update property reports received from fixed asset reporting • Leverage your problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies • Maintain attention to detail throughout all tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency • Conduct auditing tasks as required • Utilize computer research skills to support accounting functions Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions, with the ability to manage all financial data, including income and payments, to ensure clear and accurate financial records. • Practical understanding and experience in Auditing, with the ability to thoroughly examine financial records and reports for accuracy, legality, and efficiency. • Knowledge of Personal Property Tax, with the ability to accurately calculate and manage property taxes for individual and corporate clients. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use advanced functions to manage large sets of financial data, create budgets, and produce reports. • Strong Computer Research skills, with the ability to find and interpret financial data, research industry trends, and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
