Description We are in search of an Accountant to join our client's team in Ruston, Louisiana. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in their accounting department, which has recently expanded its client portfolio. As an Accountant, you will be handling the daily accounting tasks and monthly close for a small group of clients. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in public accounting while maintaining a great work life balance!! This opportunity pays $50,000-$60,000 plus a discretionary annual bonus!! Responsibilities: + Handle daily accounting tasks for multiple construction clients + Oversee the monthly closing process for client accounts + Collaborate with the senior manager for the review of financials and making necessary adjustments + Provide assistance in audit procedures and tax preparations + Work with other entry level accountants or interns assigned to your clients + Ensure all accounting activities are performed using financial software + Perform account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations + Maintain and update the general ledger and journal entries + Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks + Engage in job cost and construction accounting when necessary. Requirements + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field + 3+ years of accounting experience to include month end close support, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, AP/AR, or similar functions + Experience utilizing QuickBooks or similar software + Ability to manage time, stay organized, and work directly with clients!
