**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Accountant - Eddy Senior Care - Troy, NY - FT Days** Narrative: Located at 433 River Street in Troy Eddy Seniorcare is seeking an accountant to join our Finance Department. + This position is responsible for reviewing coding and approving all claims/invoices in the accounts payable system. + Works with vendors and medical offices regarding billing and payment discrepancies and eligibility. + Processes daily mail and prepares claims to be entered into our EMR to determine amount to be reimbursed. + Assists with entering claims into EMR as needed. + Sets up new vendors in EMR and Accounts Payable. Eddy Seniorcare is a NYS program for all-inclusive care for the elderly that serves participants in the Albany/Schenectady region. This is an hourly 40-hour position with routine hours of 8:30-5pm. **Requirements:** + A minimum of an associate's degree in accounting/business but a bachelor’s degree is preferred. + Prior experience in a medical office helpful but not necessary **Experience Requirements** : + One to Two years financial experience preferably with experience in healthcare. + Excellent accounting skills and demonstrated competency with PC and mainframe systems. Pay range: $20.20-$27.15 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
