Description We are welcoming the addition of an Entry Level Accountant to our team, based in New York, New York, 10020-1605, United States. Within this role, the primary function will be to ensure the accurate processing and validation of financial data provided by our clients, and to identify any discrepancies or errors. This contract employment opportunity offers a chance to work in a structured environment with extensive training provided. Responsibilities: • Ensure the accurate intake and validation of tax source documents and other financial data • Work closely with the software to cross-check and verify data against source documents • Identify any discrepancies, errors, or redundancies in the data • Follow a structured process for data validation as per the Standard Operating Procedure • Handle basic level tax forms such as Forms 1040/1041, K1, LT-204-LL • Utilize skills in Tax Preparation and Microsoft Excel for efficient processing and tracking • Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout all tasks and training. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. • Proficiency in Tax Preparation, including understanding of tax laws and regulations. • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with accounting standards and regulations. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines. • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. • Familiarity with accounting software would be advantageous. • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
