Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in Syracuse, New York. Specializing in the hospitality industry, the selected candidate will be tasked with various accounting duties including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and support for AR and AP processes. The workplace environment is fast paced, requiring precision and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Facilitate the accounting close process by preparing month and year-end journal entries • Handle the reconciliation of various general ledger and bank accounts • Assist in AR and AP processes, which includes ensuring the accuracy of general ledger coding and managing accounts receivable and payable invoices • Input payable invoices into Microsoft D365 on a daily basis, and coordinate with department heads for proper approvals and general ledger coding • Prepare weekly vendor check run and guarantee timely payment to vendors • Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions effectively for day-to-day tasks • Analyze account details and perform account coding as required • Use Adobe Acrobat and Dynamics NAV in support of accounting functions • Engage in account analysis and reconciliation, managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring its accuracy and up-to-date status.
