Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an entry-level Accountant to join our team based in Livingston, New Jersey. This role primarily focuses on data entry and account reconciliation in the accounting industry. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. Responsibilities: • Utilize your accounting skills in managing and reconciling accounts. • Accurately process accounting entries using accounting software systems. • Take a proactive role in merging duplicate records in our database. • Ensure the accuracy of data by diligently checking and rechecking entries. • Use your proficiency in Microsoft Excel to maintain and organize data. • Handle detailed data efficiently without losing focus. • Resolve any issues or discrepancies in financial records. • Utilize your account coding skills to maintain organized and clear records. • Continuously monitor and update customer accounts as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required, demonstrating the ability to accurately categorize financial transactions. • Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems is a must, showing the ability to effectively use and navigate through various accounting platforms. • Knowledge of Accounting Entries is crucial, indicating a clear understanding of how to record financial transactions accurately. • Mastery of general Accounting Functions is essential, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple aspects of financial management. • Experience in Account Reconciliation is necessary, showcasing the ability to accurately compare and adjust financial records. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, demonstrating the ability to manipulate spreadsheets, create pivot tables, and use advanced functions.
