Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to, under moderate supervision, prepare and file federal, state and local income tax returns with a focus on flow-through taxation.
In this role you will:
Prepare federal, state and local income tax returns with a focus on flow-through taxation (i.e., S Corporations, Partnerships)Prepare responses to notices and audit information requests from various federal, state and local authoritiesAssist accounting department with tax account reconciliationsAssist with other accounting projectsResearch and analyze technical tax issuesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or related field requiredMaster’s degree in accounting or taxation preferredMinimum one year’s experience in public accounting or corporate/ public accounting preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or pursuit of CPA preferredIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsTax researchAccounting and tax software skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take initiative and work with moderate supervisionStrong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to conduct tax research utilizing appropriate resourcesLift up to 20 poundsAdditional Information• Nation-wide Medical Plan/Dental/Vision
