This posting will be used to fill multiple OPS vacancies in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Financial Payments Section. Job Description This position is an OPS temporary accounting position that is in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation’s (DVR) Financial Payments Section that is administratively assigned to the Bureau of the Comptroller. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting duties as well as other office duties. Specific Responsibilities + Audit and process client service authorizations. + Assist by answering telephones and inquiries about payments. + Research past due payments. + Assist with processing other vendor payments in the section. + Request duplicate warrants and copies of warrants from the State Comptroller’s Office. + Assist the front office by answering the switchboard and opening and sorting the mail. + Perform other duties as necessary. + Attendance at work is an essential job function. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures. Knowledge of state and federal requirements specific to financial payments for DVR. Ability to prepare financial statements and reports. Ability to review fiscal data for accuracy and completeness. Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data.
