Overview This position is responsible for a wide variety of accounting duties which include preparation of documentation, maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciliations, reporting, auditing and account-level analysis along with miscellaneous functions necessary to support the Finance and Accounting Team. Responsibilities Understand SOX guidelines to ensure accurate controls and segregation of duties are in place to meet compliance Analyze, troubleshoot and reconcile various general ledger accounts Prepare journal entries and corrective entries as needed Prepare month-end work papers Perform account reconciliations Assists various departments in accounting related functions Obtain and organize information for internal and external audits Execute special financial or operational projects as needed Recommend solutions for a more efficient and streamlined accounting process Assist supervisors with preparation of reports, business correspondence and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)..
