The opportunity
Delaware North is hiring a full-time Accountant for our Record to Report team in Buffalo, New York. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing journal entries, month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations, rent preparation, and reporting while acting as a primary liaison for unit accountants. Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $66,800 – $84,100 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Perform monthly close procedures, including preparing standard journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and addressing discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting Investigate and resolve variances, reporting discrepancies, and other issues promptly while maintaining strong internal controls and documenting accounting processes and policies Oversee contract reviews and calculate associated rent, royalty payments, and packages; coordinate with third-party providers and ensure compliance with accounting systems and procedures Provide accounting support across the business, facilitate complex financial analysis and reporting, and assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits Collaborate on process improvements, mentor accountants, and support finance team projects, presentations, and initiatives as needed
More about you Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred. Minimum of 1 year of accounting or finance experience preferred Deep understanding of accounting functions and accounting processes Expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management Excellent customer service skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, PeopleSoft Financials, or similar accounting software
