Accountant II – Regional Financial Accounting
Description We are seeking an Accountant II – Regional Financial Accounting to join our team. This role involves preparing financial accounting entries for regional properties, reconciling general ledger accounts, and liaising with operational associates to ensure accurate financial statement reflection. The position is based in Buena Park, California, 90620-3200, United States. Responsibilities: • Prepare financial accounting entries for assigned regional properties in line with the established schedules. • Reconcile general ledger accounts as directed. • Collaborate with shared service functions to ensure timely and accurate transaction posting. • Build and maintain relationships with park operating associates to ensure operational activities are accurately reflected in the financial statements. • Adhere to and enforce professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with GAAP. • Follow internal control processes, policies, and procedures. • Provide necessary accounting information and documentation to internal and external auditors upon request. • Assist in the development of the shared accounting services team members and maintain strong associate relationships. • Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures, including safety and attendance. Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger management. • Experience in preparing and recording Journal Entries. • Demonstrated ability to manage Month End Close procedures. • Proficient in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of accounting.
