Accountant II
Description: - Prepare and post journal entries ensuring accuracy and completeness - Reconcile various general ledger accounting, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved timely - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports - Assist with audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries - Ensure adherence to GAAP and company accounting policies - Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations - Maintain and update month-end close checklists and calendars - Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies - Prepare account reconciliations and supporting documentation - Prepare and maintain accruals and prepaid schedules - Collaborate with other department to gather and review financial information - Participate in special projects and system implementation as needed Skills: Accounting, General ledger, Month end, Journal entry, Financial statement, Reporting, Reconciliation Additional Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field required - CPA or CMA certification preferred - Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with a focus on month-end close, ideally in a service-oriented industry - Strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting - Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel) - Experience with Lawson & AS400 is a plus. - Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage priorities - Continues improvement mindset Experience Level: Intermediate Level About Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
