The Controller department is seeking analytical and highly motivated individuals to perform a full range of advanced accounting activities in support of assuring timely and accurate general accounting records.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and record journal entries.
Perform account reconciliations.
Conduct advanced accounting activities for financial statement and/or cost-benefit analysis for more complex accounting entities.
Prepare accounting analyses which may include actuals vs. plan or costs vs. budgets and research appropriate explanations of variances.
Cross-functional collaboration projects to enhance and re-design processes and procedures.
You will be successful in this role if you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are self-motivated and able to work independently as well as a part of team.
Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree with enough accounting credits for CPA exam
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Experience with basic accounting principals and large volume reconciliations
Ability to communicate and collaborate technology business partners
Experience with technical systems, such as Workday, Cadency, and Atlas preferred
Ability to work in a fast paced ever changing environment
Location: Chevy Chase, MD; This is a hybrid role. The team is in the office Tuesday - Thursday.
Annual Salary
$72,000.00 - $126,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
